Creative Uses of Shelf Systems for Organizing The Home And Office

should i hang my lcd tv centered to the wall or the couch?

We just bought a 46inch lcd tv and a sectional couch. We are planning to mount the tv on the wall but are unsure how we should position it. The tv will hang on the wall opposite the couch. but the wall the tv will be on is slightly bigger than the wall the couch will be on and there is an opening for the hallway on the wall of the tv so the walls are not centered to each other. so my question is do you center the tv to the wall or do you center it to the couch. We are also going to hang shelves for dvds and our components. I was thinking one shelf on each side for the dvd’s and one above the tv for the components. (we have small children so we cant hang it below)
