Corner Entertainment Center Alternatives
More and more families today are spending thousands of dollars for their home entertainment systems. Most families consider their TV room or entertainment rooms the most important part of their home. Families take pride in showing off to friends, neighbors and relatives how big and how loud their entertainment setup is. Before, the bigger the system means the better system they have, television sets were bulky and screens were big while audio systems are huge and more speakers means its better because it is louder.

Aside from working with small spaced rooms, use of smaller and slimmer entertainment systems may also be used for a change of style or improvement of such rooms. One new and specific space-saving style that is gaining popularity lately is by moving the typical center orientation system to a corner entertainment center. Flat screen TV… what do I do with with all my stuff?
My husband just purchased a flat screen tv (God luv him). It is being delivered today and he plans on mounting it on the wall. we are getting rid of the entertainment center so we have more room in the living room. We are getting those cable managment trays that to hide all the cables and wires. I can paint them to match the wall color and not be so noticable. My problem is I dont know what to do with the cable and DVD boxes we have on the entertianment center. How do people make this look nice and clean and not a cluttered mess?
BTW, there is nothing wrong with our current tv.. he just wanted a new toy and we cant afford a new motorcycle just yet. sigh.
Had the same problem a few months ago. Browsed thru several 2nd hand furniture & good will stores and found axactly the right thing. It was a china cabinet, credenza, whatever of a dining room set. Two pieces stacked but easily removed with a screwdriver. The bottom had drawers but the top had 4 glass doors decorated w/diagonal gold striping that formed diamonds. The top is 56″w x 48″h x 13″d. The bottom was damaged so we paid only $40 for it. Only wanted to use the top under the TV anyway. Put the bottom in the basement for storage. The diamonds kind of camouflage the clutter of stacked dvds, old tapes, books etc. and also not a dust catcher because of the closed doors. Very pretty piece of furniture actually.
